This work started at home. It still lives there.

About Homegevity

I am a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years in healthcare and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist. What I kept seeing, in hospitals and in homes, was the same problem: people needed clear, practical guidance and were not getting it.

That pattern does not stop at the hospital door. It shows up in homes every day.

I am also a caregiver. My husband and I are actively helping multiple family members over the age of 70, navigating the same decisions, safety questions, and “what do we do now” moments that families everywhere are facing. And we think about our own future, too. About staying independent longer. About making the right choices now, while we still can.

Homegevity grew out of all of that.

Contractors and handymen were already showing up to these jobs. They could see the need. What was missing was two things: the knowledge to understand what aging-in-place work actually requires, and a structured, credible way to assess a home and present recommendations that families could trust.

Homegevity addresses both. For contractors who are new to this space, it provides the education to understand what matters, why it matters, and how to approach it with confidence. For those already doing the work, it provides the tools and a clear, professional report they can put in front of any family.

Homegevity assessments are powered by a framework built on 30 years of nursing and aging-in-place expertise. Every report gives contractors something clear and credible to put in front of the families they serve.

That is the work. Clear guidance, grounded in real experience, built for real life.
