  • “Download,” “Purchase,” or “Service” refers to any Content or offering you copy, access, save, or receive from the Site whether free or paid.
  • “Personal Information” means any data that could identify, contact, or locate an individual.
  • “You” or “Your” means any user, visitor, contractor, or customer of the Site.

Reference to the founder’s credentials is for background context only and does not establish a provider-patient relationship, a professional duty of care, or a medical consultation. The nursing and aging-in-place expertise informing this platform is used to develop educational frameworks and general guidance only.

Contractors are solely responsible for applying their own professional judgment to any recommendation generated by this platform. No assessment output should be implemented without independent evaluation by a qualified contractor or appropriate licensed professional.

3. Assessment Output Limitations

Homegevity assessment outputs are generated based on photos and form responses submitted by the contractor. The accuracy and relevance of any output depends entirely on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the information submitted.

Recommendations are limited by what is visible in submitted photos and described in the intake form. Concealed conditions, measurements, structural constraints, plumbing or electrical issues, and other site-specific realities not visible in photos or disclosed in the form may materially affect what modifications are appropriate. Homegevity cannot account for conditions that are not visible or disclosed at the time of submission.

Homegevity outputs are based on national aging-in-place best practices and general biomechanical guidelines. Outputs do not constitute building code determinations, permit guidance, ADA compliance certification, FHA accessibility confirmation, site measurement verification, or structural evaluation. Homegevity makes no representation that outputs comply with specific municipal, county, or state residential building codes.

We make no guarantee that assessment outputs are complete, accurate, or appropriate for any specific home, senior, or situation. Outputs are intended as a starting point for professional contractor evaluation, not a final recommendation or certified safety assessment.

Contractors assume full responsibility for independently verifying all recommendations before presenting them to clients or implementing any modifications.

4. Contractor Responsibility

Contractors using Homegevity tools are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of all assessment outputs before sharing with clients
  • Ensuring all modifications meet local building codes, ADA standards, and applicable regulations
  • Obtaining all required permits and licenses for any work performed
  • Ensuring that all Homegevity-generated documents presented to clients include the Homegevity disclaimer statement and not removing or altering it under any circumstances
  • Communicating clearly with clients that assessment outputs are generated with the support of technology and informed by general aging-in-place principles, not certified clinical evaluations

Contractors may not represent Homegevity assessment outputs as certified clinical assessments, nursing assessments, occupational therapy evaluations, medical recommendations, or licensed safety evaluations. Use of Homegevity does not confer any certification, credential, or licensed status on the contractor.

5. Functional and Accessibility-Related Information

This platform collects limited functional and accessibility-related information to improve assessment relevance. Contractors should submit only the minimum information necessary to describe the senior’s functional needs in the home environment.

Acceptable examples of functional and accessibility-related information include:

  • Use of mobility aids such as walkers, canes, or wheelchairs
  • Difficulty stepping over a tub wall or threshold
  • Low-light or contrast sensitivity challenges
  • Reduced sensation in feet or hands
  • Balance difficulty or history of falls

Contractors are strictly prohibited from submitting:

  • Medical diagnoses or clinical conditions
  • Medication names or details
  • Medical record numbers or insurance member IDs
  • Social Security numbers or dates of birth
  • Any other protected health information or sensitive identifying health data

This platform is designed to assess environmental and structural considerations in the home, not to store or process personal health records.

6. Funding and Program Information

Any discussion of grants, benefits, insurance coverage, funding sources, rebates, or assistance programs on this Site or in any Assessment Output is general informational guidance only. Project location information such as zip code or state may be used to generate general funding and program leads relevant to the area. Availability, eligibility requirements, and program details change frequently and vary by location. Nothing in our content or outputs should be relied upon as a guarantee of coverage, reimbursement, eligibility, or funding availability. Contractors and clients should independently verify all funding and program information with the applicable agency or program administrator before relying on it.

Homegevity utilizes a “Human-in-the-Loop” model. While we use artificial intelligence technology to support the generation of assessment outputs and modification recommendations, submissions are analyzed by a human professional to ensure quality and relevance.

  • Is based on the photos and information submitted and may not reflect conditions not visible or disclosed in the submission
  • Should be treated as a professionally informed starting point, not a certified or guaranteed recommendation
  • Does not replace the judgment of a qualified contractor, occupational therapist, or licensed professional

By using the assessment tool, you acknowledge that outputs are AI-assisted and human-reviewed and you are responsible for independently verifying their appropriateness for each specific situation.

8. No Guarantees, Warranties, or Representations

We make no guarantees, representations, or warranties — express or implied — about the performance, effectiveness, accuracy, completeness, or safety of any content, assessment output, recommendation, or resource provided through this Site.
